Pick the good one!
While researching and shopping on-line on a Saturday morning, this question came across my mind several times. There are so many choices available on the Internet: for each product, service, or even for simple article searches on topics that interests you. There are thousands, sometimes millions of options to pick from.
Very often the content or quality of a product that you are researching yields an unreliable source or the information that you found just doesn’t look quite right.
How many times has that happened to you? Are the products and services, and information you find on-line reliable? As an on-line shopper with more than ten years experience, it is hard to answer this question. It’s easy to understand why we can’t rely on the virtual world, when the real world in which we live oftentimes does not present us with ‘“safe choices” (aside from those products and services we already know and trust). In fact, I have been the victim of bad Internet shopping and have received products that did not live up to their on-line promises, and paid for services, which were never delivered.
As I continue in my “on-line morning”, browsing through the unlimited choices for the product and services of a particular topic that I was researching, I found a more reliable way to avoid Internet scams – and simply find good sources of information. Each time I want to buy anything on-line, the first thing I do is to search for that product or service’s “Review”- and as you can imagine, there are hundreds of “Reviewers” Web sites available.
My advice is to pick a Review Web site that looks reliable, with quality content and user ratings, and consumer testimonials. Examine the design of the Web pages, and compare with other Reviews Web sites of the same product. Good Review Web sites are informative and do not simply offer a “sales pitch”, with a sole intention of selling the products or services that they are reviewing. Good reviewers oftentimes have special offers and promotions with product or service providers/manufacturers, sometimes offering a better deal than going directly to the product site.Remember: Never rely exclusively on a review site! It’s good practise to research the company that is offering the product itself, and then combine both Reviewer and company information. It may take extra time, but in my opinion, it is one of the safest ways to avoid on-line shopping disappointment of scams.
A good and reliable Review site that I used for referrals of several different products and services is the http://www.webinfovisor.com/ Good luck!
